One-Year Limited Driveway Warranty
RC Pro Solutions warrants all new driveway installations against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of One Year from the date of completion. This warranty covers the following:
- Materials: We warrant that all materials used in the construction of your driveway, such as Concrete 3500 PSI and Pavers (depending on the chosen material), will be of high quality and free from defects.
- Workmanship: We warrant that our installation will be performed by our qualified professionals following industry best standards and practices. This includes proper base preparation, drainage, and material application. (2018 International Code)
- Major Cracking: This would be considered 1/8 of an inch or larger and or 30% of the length of the expansion joint. We would assess the integrity of the driveway and the best way to address the issue.
- Repair or Replace: If major Cracking, Scaling, Pitting, or Pop-out, which is the subject of the notice, occurred within One year of the completion date due to defective materials or workmanship, the major issues listed above and the area or areas of concern will be repaired or replaced. This will be carried out at no charge to the homeowner. The contractor will have the right to choose between repair or replacement of the fractured aggregate pieces.
What is Not Covered:
This warranty does not cover the following:
- Normal Wear and Tear: Over time, driveways will experience some wear and tear, such as stress cracks, minor shifting, or fading. This is normal and is not covered under warranty.
- Acts of God: Damage caused by natural disasters such as floods, earthquakes, or tornadoes is not covered under warranty.
- Settling: In the first few years after installation, the driveway may settle slightly. This is typically due to soil compaction and is not a cause for concern unless it is excessive or uneven. We will monitor the settling and address any concerns you may have.
- Altering Areas near the Driveway: That will allow water run-off and erosion to undermine the driveway. Also, tree roots that cause cracks are not covered under warranty.
- Improper Maintenance: Failure to maintain your driveway according to our recommendations, such as regular sealing (for concrete) or weed control (for pavers), can void the warranty.
- Chemical Damage: Damage caused by harsh chemicals, de-icing salts, or other corrosive materials is not covered under warranty.
- Overload Damage: Damage caused by exceeding the driveway’s weight limit (Delivery Trucks) is not covered under warranty.
- Work Performed by Others: This warranty will be void if anyone other than RC Pro Solutions makes repairs to the driveway without our prior written consent.
